Ballan Library and Community Hub Opens Its Doors
Member for Eureka Michaela Settle MP has officially opened the new Ballan Library and Community Hub, delivering a modern and welcoming space for learning, connection and creativity.
The $7.25 million project has been made possible through a strong partnership between the Victorian Government, Moorabool Shire Council and the Ballan and District Community Hospital. The Victorian Government contributed $5 million, with further support from Council ($2.25 million) and the Hospital ($250,000).
The new hub will provide a wide range of services for the community, including:
- A modern library with digital resources and study spaces.
- Dedicated children’s and youth areas to encourage literacy and engagement.
- Maternal and Child Health consultation rooms.
- Flexible meeting rooms and a professional art exhibition space.
- A Visitor Information Centre.
The project was shaped by local feedback and is designed to meet the needs of Ballan now and into the future.
