BALLAN STUDENTS RE-ZONED TO DAYLESFORD COLLEGE
Member for Eureka Michaela Settle welcomed the announcement of school zoning changes for Ballan to Daylesford in 2027.
This announcement follows more than two years of advocacy alongside Ballan families. Ms Settle worked closely with the local community to raise the issue with the Victorian Government, including supporting a community petition calling for Ballan to be included in the Daylesford Secondary College catchment.
The updated Find My School zone for Daylesford Secondary College will now include Ballan. For many families, the change will mean more practical schooling options.
School zoning information for 2027 is now available online, helping families plan ahead for their children’s education.
The Victorian Government continues to invest in local public schools across the state. Victoria has the largest school building program in the country, with 121 new schools opened and more than 2,300 school upgrades delivered. This is the highest number of schools ever opened in one year, with enrolment places increasing by more than 11,000.
